Trayline is an estimating engineer for cable tray. It reads your layout, measures every run and fitting, prices it, and replies on the same thread within minutes. It is software, and every reply says so.
PDF, DXF and DWG. UAE rates in AED with VAT, or your own rate card. This is the whole workflow.
No portal, no upload form, no account to create. The estimator lives at an email address. Your team already knows how to use it.
- Forward the client's enquiry with the drawing attached.
- The desk converts, measures and prices it.
- The reply lands on the same thread, with the files.
Hello Ahmed, Thank you for the enquiry. I received pump-house-E401.dwg and took it off as drawn. 21 runs · 136.3 m of tray · 12 fittings Ladder tray 300×50 to 600×100, hot-dip galvanised, supports at 1.5 m. Priced in AED with 5% VAT. One assumption to confirm: level 2 risers read as 600×100, the same as the feed.
Three things come back. All of them ready to send on.
What the desk does between the two emails.
The same steps a good estimator takes with a scale rule and a highlighter. Done in under a minute, and written down so you can check it.
Reads the drawing as drawn
DWG, DXF or PDF. Finds the tray layers, the scale from the title block, and the callouts. Reads outlined callouts the way you would, and says which ones it could not.
Builds the route
Joins runs at corners and tees, carries sizes along straight legs, follows levels through risers, and places every fitting where the lines meet.
Prices it your way
Standard lengths, couplers, supports per span, weights by section. UAE presets in AED with VAT, or your own rate card and margins.
Replies, and asks when unsure
States every assumption in the reply. If a tray colour or a level is ambiguous, it asks you before it guesses. You answer on the thread.
It sits inside your own Microsoft 365. Your drawings never leave your domain.
The desk is a shared mailbox in your tenant, created by your admin. The estimator is allowed to read that one mailbox and nothing else. Your IT can verify the restriction in one command, and revoke it in one more.
- No licence needed for the desk mailbox.
- Replies come from your domain, threaded, in your Sent Items.
- Drawings are processed and deleted on a schedule you set.
- Remove the app and the desk is gone. Nothing is left behind.
Honest about being software.
It signs as the Trayline Estimating Desk. It does not pretend to be a person. It shows its working, so your estimator can check a number in seconds instead of redoing the take-off in hours.
